Build School Computer Lab

The Somru Foundation, in its visionary pursuit to empower underprivileged communities and ignite a passion for science and technology among the youth, has embarked on a transformative project by building computer labs in villages across Bangladesh. Recognizing the pivotal role of digital literacy in today’s global economy, these computer labs are not just physical spaces equipped with the latest technology but are beacons of hope and gateways to infinite possibilities for young adults in rural areas. By providing access to computers, high-speed internet, and a curriculum that spans coding, digital design, and robotics, the foundation aims to inspire a new generation of innovators, problem solvers, and technology enthusiasts. This initiative not only democratizes access to essential digital skills but also fosters an environment where young adults are encouraged to explore the vast realms of science and technology, potentially setting them on a path to becoming future leaders in these fields. Through this endeavor, the Somru Foundation is not just investing in individual futures but is actively contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of entire communities, ensuring that the digital divide is bridged one village at a time.

Virtual Volunteering: Students Helping Students

The Somru Foundation, in its continuous effort to bridge educational gaps and foster global solidarity, has launched an innovative “Virtual Volunteering: Students Helping Students” program. This initiative connects volunteer students from across the world with underprivileged primary school students in Bangladesh, aiming to enhance their proficiency in English and Science. Leveraging the power of technology and the internet, this program creates a virtual classroom environment where knowledge and cultures are exchanged freely and empathetically. Volunteer students, equipped with a passion for education and a willingness to make a difference, provide personalized tutoring, mentorship, and support, helping their Bangladeshi counterparts to not only improve their academic skills but also to broaden their horizons and aspirations. This cross-cultural educational exchange not only enriches the learning experience for the children in Bangladesh but also instills a sense of global citizenship and altruism in the volunteers. The Somru Foundation’s initiative is a testament to the transformative power of education and the role of youth in shaping a more inclusive and interconnected world.
